Pat has been a software engineer at Google since the summer of 2005. Here's some of the fun stuff he's done since he's been there.

Google Custom Search Engine (Pat was the technical lead here)
A blog entry and video about some spell checking UI changes (Pat took over the project in order to get in launched)
A blog about the launch of the Search Options Panel (Pat was the technical lead here)
Pat also got quoted in a Wired story about Google (though right at the end, so you probably missed it :-)

Pat was also the senior engineer on the visual redesign of the homepage and the search result page. He also got to do some of the press interaction about the launch amd got a bunch of quotes out of it
